Description

A threaded fork does not mean you have to give up a modern handlebar. This Velo Orange quill stem combines a 22.2 mm quill with a removable faceplate and a 31.8 mm bar clamp.

It is useful when building an everyday bike around a classic threaded fork, especially with a bar that would be awkward to feed through a closed clamp. Chrome and Noir versions are available in the extensions shown above.

Quill: 22.2 mm for a 1-inch threaded fork

Fit comes first

Designed for a 22.2 mm quill opening in a 1-inch threaded fork steerer. Confirm the handlebar clamp diameter, usable insertion depth and cable length before ordering. Keep the minimum-insertion mark inside the steerer. A higher position changes bar height and reach together. Use Fit Lab to compare your handlebar and stem position. Not sure? Ask us first.
