Welcome to GOOD DETOUR. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms should be read together with our Shipping Policy and Returns & Refunds policy.
1. Who we are
GOOD DETOUR is an independent Canadian online shop selling bicycle components, operated from Saskatchewan, Canada. You can reach us any time through the Contact page.
2. Products, fit and compatibility
We work hard to keep product specifications accurate. Bicycle components are fit-critical: fork standards, seatpost diameters and brake cable pull vary between years and previous modifications. Compatibility information on this site is guidance, not a guarantee for your specific bicycle. You are responsible for confirming the measurements of your own bike before ordering. If you are unsure, use our free Fit Help before you buy. Our advice is based on the photos, measurements and details you provide and is not a fit guarantee. If an incorrect specification in our product listing causes the problem, our Returns & Refunds policy explains how we put it right.
3. Installation and safety
Bicycle components must be installed correctly and tightened to the manufacturer's specifications. Incorrect installation can cause component failure, property damage, serious injury or death. If you are not confident in your mechanical skills, have parts installed by a qualified bicycle mechanic. Riding a bicycle involves risk; by installing and using our products you accept that risk.
4. Orders
An order is an offer to buy; we may accept or decline it. We may cancel or refuse an order — for example in case of pricing or stock errors, suspected fraud, or a fit concern we cannot resolve with you — and will refund any payment in full. If you provide bike information, we’ll do our best to spot obvious fit concerns and may contact you before shipping. Orders without bike information follow our usual shipping process.
5. Pricing and availability
Prices are in Canadian dollars and may change without notice. Despite our best efforts, an item may be mispriced or out of stock; if that happens we will contact you before shipping and refund in full if we cannot reach an agreement.
6. Shipping, risk and returns
Shipping terms are described in our Shipping Policy; risk of loss passes to you upon carrier delivery to the address you provided. Returns are governed exclusively by our Returns & Refunds policy.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, photographs, graphics, the GOOD DETOUR name and logo — is our property or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without written consent.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse this site: no unlawful activity, no interference with the site's operation, no scraping or bulk data collection, and no misrepresentation when contacting us or placing orders.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GOOD DETOUR is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages (including lost profits or loss of use), and our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product or order. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Saskatchewan.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted at the time of your order applies to that order. Material changes will be noted on this page.

13. Relationship with Shopify
Good Detour is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with Good Detour. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Good Detour, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Good Detour.
